Terms of Use

The short version: use Tavi on computers that are yours to use, keep your pairing to yourself, and know that Tavi comes without a warranty.

Effective 28 October 2026

These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Mohhamad Parvez Huda Robin, the individual developer who makes Tavi (“we”, “us”). They cover the Tavi iPhone app, the Tavi host you install on your computer, Tavi's relay and this website. By using any of them, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Tavi.

Apple and TestFlight

If you got the app from the App Store or through TestFlight, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app, and these terms add to it.

A TestFlight build is beta software. It may have bugs, change without notice, or stop working when the beta ends.

Using Tavi

Tavi is a remote terminal: whoever can use it can run commands on the computer it's paired with. So:

  • Use Tavi only with computers you own, or that you control and are allowed to use this way.
  • Keep pairing codes, your host token and your phone's access to yourself. Treat them like the password to your shell.
  • Don't use Tavi or its relay to get into computers or accounts without permission, to break the law, or to harm others.
  • Don't attack, overload or probe Tavi's relay, try to get around its limits, or use it to carry anything other than your own Tavi sessions.

You're responsible for what you, and the agents you run, do on your computers through Tavi.

Your content

Your code, files and sessions are yours. They stay between your phone and your computer, encrypted end to end, and we can't see them. The Privacy Policy describes what Tavi does handle.

The software

The Tavi host, tavi-host on npm, is open source under the Apache License 2.0, and that license governs its code. The Tavi app and the relay are not open source; these terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them, not ownership of them.

Tavi Pro

Tavi Pro is an optional subscription sold through the App Store. Apple bills it and handles renewals, cancellations and refunds, under Apple's terms. The app shows the price and the renewal period before you buy.

You can cancel at any time in your iPhone's Settings, under your Apple Account's subscriptions. Pro then stays on until the end of the period you've paid for.

The relay

We run Tavi's relay so your phone can reach your computer from anywhere. We work to keep it running well, but we can't promise it will always be available. We may change it, limit how it's used, or stop admitting a computer that breaks these terms. During the beta, we let new computers in by hand. You can always turn the relay off on your computer and connect over your own network.

No warranty

Tavi is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. Agents and commands you run through Tavi act on your computer, so check what you approve.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits or harm to your computers, arising from your use of Tavi. Our total liability for any claim about Tavi is limited to what you paid for Tavi Pro in the twelve months before the claim.

Some places don't allow these limits. Where they don't, they apply only as far as the law allows, and you keep the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Ending

You can stop using Tavi at any time: unpair your phones, run tavi uninstall on your computers, and delete the app. We may stop providing Tavi, or end your access if you break these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Using Tavi after that means you accept the new terms.
